Sweet Feet

I felt a big kick tonight! It reminded me I had this foot shot from a recent sonogram to share. My little one has playtime in the womb for about thirty minutes every day. I love feeling my sweet baby moving around. I am feeling great. My back gets a little sore but other than that things are good. I'm twenty weeks. I see the OB next week.

Aware

My sweet friend Stephanie took me to lunch recently and we discussed how we as Christians sometimes forget that we are the righteousness of God, because of the tendency to become sensitized to the ways of the world. Our conversation reminded me of this scripture that I've been pondering for the last few weeks:

"I am constantly aware of your unfailing love,

and I have lived according to your truth."

Psalms 26:3

So much wisdom packed into one verse! Some being,

• God's love is so real I can be aware of it all the time; it's only a matter of focus.

• God's love does not fail.

• His truth brings life.

• If I am unaware of God's love, I make myself vulnerable to my own "truth", brought to me through the world's patterns, satan's deceptions, my interpretations, etc.

I am reminded that the Holy Spirit is also referred to as the Spirit of Truth, which is God's gift to all of us who have received Him. I need this Truth! There are so many unknowns in life, so many decisions where I need wisdom, so many circumstances that can be misunderstood. A wise question to ask in all these places is "Lord Jesus, what is your truth about this?".

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted

My heart grieves with a dear friend who miscarried a baby this week. She carried this little one for only six weeks, but as you moms know, it doesn't take long to bond and fall in love with the unborn children that God places in our wombs. Please agree with me that God will perform His word in this family.......

"The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit." Psalms 34;17-18

" The young women of Israel will be happy and dance, the young men and old men also. I will change their sadness into happiness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sadness."

Jeremiah 31:13
